  • Graduate research assistant at Oregon State University (OSU). I work with a research group in the College of Forestry at OSU.
  • My responsibilities include training machine learning and deep learning models to support the research in plant phenotyping.
  • My interests are diverse from traditional Machine learning, to Deep learning.
  • Mainly use Python and have experience using libraries like sklearn, Pytorch, and Tensorflow.
  • Passionate about new technologies and ideas and exploring how they impact our lives.

    Graduate Research Assistant

    • Working on developing a new interactive segmentation model to improve accuracy on this task thus reducing the amount of user inputs required.
    • Used transfer learning to train image classification model (DenseNet) for classifying contamination in Plants. Achieved 87% accuracy on the validation dataset.
    • Used transfer learning for image segmentation models (Deeplab, PSPNet) to segment plant traits. Results of this model were used for plants growth analysis.

    • CS 361, Software Engineering I: Assisted more than 50+ students during Spring'19 and Summer'19 in understanding the concepts of software engineering, and software maintenance. Guided students carry out software development in Machine learning, algorithms, Deep Learning, web development.
    • CS 362, Software Engineering II: Graded and guided 60+ students during the Fall'18 and Winter'19 terms to understand the backend of the software engineering lifecycle and importance of testing, debugging and maintenance in software.
    • Responsible for grading the weekly assignments and reports by the third-year undergraduate students.

    Senior Systems Engineer

    • Worked for Infosys client-Westpac.
    • Developed intelligence for managing performance and goals of employees in Westpac using the Oracle fusion reporting tools like Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIPublisher).
    • Mentored five employees by acquainting them with the Westpac landscape and helped them accomplish their tasks, as the need arose. Served as a positive role-model for them.

    Systems Engineer

    • Enhanced Westpac’s financial-General ledger system which uses Oracle E-business Suite (ERP) technology and Oracle Financials Accounting Hub (FAH).
    • Developed various inbound and outbound interfaces to process the transactions and post them into General Ledger with the use of PL/SQL language, UNIX Scripting and Oracle AOL components.
    • Created intelligence required for taking important business decisions for a project - Tax Country by Country.
